A delightful mini train runs between various parts of the town and the beaches, so everything is easy to reach.

Cala D'Or hotels are good standard and accommodation ranges from upmarket hotels to family owned pensions to self catering properties. The infrastructure in the resort is good and some romantic Moorish style architecture adds to the overall character of the town.

Several sandy coves are dotted around the area with Cala Gran, Cala D'Or, Cala Egos and Cala Esmeralda as the major and most popular beaches. For evening, a wonderful selection of restaurants, cafes, shops and bars just simmer with activity and the lovely marina of Cala D'Or is perfect for a pleasant "rambla" - this is what lovely Majorca holidays are all about. Another lovely resort to visit is Puerto Pollensa as the town is picturesque and the marina area is jammed with lavish yachts and pleasure craft. Not a million miles away either is pretty Porto Colom with its delicious fish restaurants.

There are no flights to Cala D'Or, but frequent direct flights to Palma from Dublin ensure the lovely resort is easily accessible.
